WW II U.S. Army Veteran, Longtime Orange, West Orange Resident
Charles Anthony Pescatore, “Charlie” 97, of West Orange passed away Friday.
Visiting will be held Tuesday Feb. 26, from 6 to 9pm at the Lombardi Funeral Home
9 Smull Avenue, Caldwell, NJ. Funeral will be Wednesday 9:30am at the funeral
home followed by the internment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.
Charlie was born in Orange, NJ where he lived for 84 years before moving to West
Orange 13 years ago. He was a proud WW II US Army Veteran serving in the
Asiatic Pacific Theater as a Special Service Vehicle Operator and mechanic as well
as a Radio Operator. He continued his career working as a diesel mechanic for the
City of Orange for many years before his retirement.
Charlie was predeceased by his parents Henry and Mary (Guadagno), his siblings
Anthony, Henry, Jr., Catherine Carosia, Anne Pescatore, Lillian Lombardo,
Barbara Grande. He is survived by his brother William. His sisters Janet
Gigantino and her husband, Leonard. Betty Cantalupo and her husband Neil and
many nieces and nephews. Please omit flowers.
