WW II U.S. Army Veteran, Longtime Orange, West Orange Resident Charles Anthony Pescatore, “Charlie” 97, of West Orange passed away Friday.

Visiting will be held Tuesday Feb. 26, from 6 to 9pm at the Lombardi Funeral Home 9 Smull Avenue, Caldwell, NJ. Funeral will be Wednesday 9:30am at the funeral home followed by the internment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.

Charlie was born in Orange, NJ where he lived for 84 years before moving to West Orange 13 years ago. He was a proud WW II US Army Veteran serving in the Asiatic Pacific Theater as a Special Service Vehicle Operator and mechanic as well as a Radio Operator. He continued his career working as a diesel mechanic for the City of Orange for many years before his retirement.

Charlie was predeceased by his parents Henry and Mary (Guadagno), his siblings Anthony, Henry, Jr., Catherine Carosia, Anne Pescatore, Lillian Lombardo, Barbara Grande. He is survived by his brother William. His sisters Janet Gigantino and her husband, Leonard. Betty Cantalupo and her husband Neil and many nieces and nephews. Please omit flowers.

Dorothy McBride of Whippany passed away on Tuesday January 29, 2019 at home.

Dorothy was born in Orange living most of her life in Harrison before moving to Whippany 20 years ago.

Beloved wife of the late Conrad, loving mother of Sarah, Timothy and Maureen. Cherished grandmother to William and Michael.

A memorial service will be held in the immediate future at the convenience of the family.

Phyllis Doris Sellars

12/21/1952 - 1/18/19

Phyllis Dori Sellars was born December 21, 1952 in Newark, NJ to the late Hazel Anna Cruse and David Randolph Ford. Phyllis departed this life on January 18, 2019 at St. Michaels Medical Center, Newark, NJ. As a young girl Phyllis loved to wear the color pink, read poems from Maya Angelou and cook, hobby she continued her whole life.

Phyllis attended Newark Public Schools, She graduated from Central High School. She continued her studies by becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant. Phyllis was a loving, kind mother and grandmother with a humble spirit who are numerous friends throughout her many years working first at United States Postal Services and then moved on to Broadway House working with patients with AIDS. Some would prove to be life long friendships. She loved to spend time with her family and friends and is fondly remembered for her favorite pastime, cooking and shopping at the Salvation Army. Phyllis loved to help others and she loved her church. She was an active member at New Psalmist Worship Center for more than 20 years before she became ill.

Phyllis was preceded in death by both parents and her oldest daughter Nichole Cheray Ford.

Phyllis leaves to cherish her memories; her husband Edward Sellars, her five children, Alesha, Phillip, Patrick, Shanunte, Khalil; her stepson Shawn; daughter-in-law Robin (Phillip); nine grandchildren) Ray, Tariq, Cereniti, Ravonna, Tashawn, Jeremiah. Mariah, Zakai, Harmony and fourGreat Grandchildren. Phyllis also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, and other adopted family (Bowles) and friends.

Vivian A. Lombardo, of Largo, Florida (formerly of Livingston), passed away peacefully after a short illness on Saturday December 15, 2018 with her family by her side.

She is survived by her devoted husband Peter Louis, two daughters Marylynne Lombardi (Marius) and Nancyann Lombardo. A son Peter. Two grandsons, three great-grand sons and a sister Rosemary Mottola.

Theodore “Teddy” Charles - Dedicated US Army Veteran

Theodore Anthony Charles, (Teddy) of Lake Hiawatha passed away Tuesday November 20, 2018 at the VA Hospital, East Orange, NJ.

Born in Orange, he lived in West Orange before moving to Lake Hiawatha 20 years ago.

Teddy was a dedicated proud veteran of the US Army. He was a member of the Parsippany Chapter of the American Legion and the Roseland VFW.

He was predeceased by his wife Sharon. He is survived by his daughter Carissa Charles, and his sisters, Carol Greene, Peggy Charles Hundley, Catherine De Santis and Ann Marie Charles.

Visiting will be held Sunday November 25, 2018

Devoted mother, grandmother and great-grand mother

Helen P. Lombardi, (nee Ryan) 87, of West Orange formerly from East Orange passed away peacefully on February 13, 2018.

A visitation will be held 4:00pm to 8:00pm Friday February 16, 2018 at Lombardi Funeral Home, Nine Smull Avenue, Caldwell, NJ.

Born and raised in East Orange before moving to West Orange 63 years ago. Helen was predeceased by her husband Ralph of 53 years, and the youngest and last of eight siblings.

She is survived by a son Mario, two daughters Patricia Spango Fabiano and Cathy Peluso , seven grandchildren and three great grand-children.

There will not be services at the funeral home Saturday morning.

Family and friends are welcome to meet at St. Raphiel's RC Church Livingston on Saturday at 10:30am for a mass of Christian burial. Entombment Gate of Heaven Chapel Mausoleum, East Hanover.
