Santa (Sandra) Dolise Carbone

Santa (Sandra) Dolise Carbone, 98 of Basking Ridge, NJ passed away Friday August 7, 2020 at home with her family by her side.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend the viewing/visitation 9:00am to 11:00am followed by a Funeral Mass on Monday August 10, 2020 at the Church of Saint James, Basking Ridge. Entombment Holy Cross Cemetery, Basking Ridge. 

Sandra was born in Newark, NJ to Filippa (Larceri) and Vincenzo Dolisi. Predeceased by her Husband Michael (Mickey). She was a devoted mother to Sandra Carbone, Michael (Joanne) and Barbara Armenti.  Also survived by her grandchildren Danielle, Ed, Michael, Shannon, Jonathan, Phillip, Marissa, Lauren, great granddaughter Emma and her sister Fay Tomaino.  Sandra had ten sisters, one brother and many nieces and nephews.  They were pillars of Saint Rocco Church in Newark where she was on the Historical Preservation Committee for decades.  Then moving on to Saint Joseph Church East Orange until joining the Church of Saint James in Basking Ridge in 1987.  She was a Rosarian for many years and a daily communicant with great love and devotion to our Blessed Mother.    

Sandra was a longtime employee of the Pennsylvania Rail Road (where she met her husband Michael, a marriage made in Heaven) and resumed her career as a Human Resource manager for Amtrak, retiring in 1991.  She enjoyed her snowbird status from New Jersey and Florida where she was "Mom" to everyone.  In lieu of flowers donations in her name can be made to the Sisters of the Precious Blood, 301 Ramsey Road, London Ontario N6G1N7 or Villa Walsh Academy Filipini Sisters,  455 Western Avenue, Morristown, NJ 07960
